Cancellation & Hotel Policies

Hotel Policies:

  • Hotel check in time : 02:00 PM
  • Hotel check out time : 12:00 PM
  • In case of late check in, please contact the hotel (helpdesk@oldpenanghotel.com / 04-2267611) directly at least 24 hours prior to arrival, else we will released the room by 6pm on off peak period and 3pm on peak period.
  • All children under 12 years old stay free of charge when using existing beds.
  • Children aged 12 or over must use an extra bed. Please note that the hotel do not have any extra bed and will only provide extra mattress. RM30.00 Nett will be charged.
  • Extra bed only available on certain rooms.
  • Pets, Durian and Jackfruit are not allowed.
  • Payment can be made in cash or with Visa or Mastercard credit cards. Hotel reserves the right to pre-authorise credit cards prior to arrival.
  • During check in, RM50 deposit per room or its equivalent (if other currency) will be collected, capped at RM200. The deposit will be refunded upon check out (if no damage).
  • Please note that the Malaysia Government has imposed a Tourism Tax of MYR 10 per room per night (Applicable on non-Malaysian guests who visited and checked in any hotel of Malaysia with any purposes whether by online or third party), payable directly to the hotel upon check-in.

Cancellation policies:

  • For any changes or cancellations to your existing reservation, please contact the hotel ( helpdesk@oldpenanghotel.com ) directly at least 48 hours prior to arrival; unless otherwise stated in the Cancellation Policies below.
  • If cancelled or modified up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled or modified later, 100 percent of the first night will be charged. In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.
